Road Closure - 2nd Street
Purpose: The closure of 2nd Street between Main Avenue and Elm Drive is necessary to allow for critical road repairs and utility upgrades. This work includes replacing underground water lines and repaving the affected roadway to improve infrastructure and safety for residents. The upgrades will also enhance water pressure and reliability for nearby properties. Additionally, the new pavement will improve the overall condition of the road, reducing maintenance needs in the future.
Impact: During this time, traffic will be detoured via 3rd Street. Please follow posted signage and allow extra travel time. Pedestrian access will remain open, and we encourage residents to use alternate routes where possible. Emergency services have been notified and will have access to the area if needed. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to complete these essential improvements.
Additional Information: Construction will take place between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM daily to ensure the project stays on schedule. Weather permitting, the work will be completed by February 12, 2025. Updates on progress and any changes to the timeline will be shared here.
